Why I Ditched the Envelope System
For a while, I really believed in cash envelopes. But here's why it started falling apart for me:
- It was impossible to track anything digitally
- I’d constantly forget or ignore my categories
- It didn’t fit my life anymore
My Twist on Budgeting
Now I budget differently — and it works way better for me:
- I set limits inside my banking app instead of physical envelopes
- I keep a simple tracker on my phone
- I give myself 1 reset day every week to check in
Final Thought
If envelopes don’t work for you either — it’s okay to change the system.
