📌 What I’d do differently if I started my financial freedom journey over today?
Everything.
But I’d start anyway — because starting messy still beats staying stuck.
🎢 What I Did the First Time Around
I tried to do it all at once.
- Budgeting, saving, side hustles
- Paying off debt while also trying to invest
- Learning everything but executing nothing
- Copying other people’s paths instead of creating my own
I thought financial freedom had a formula.
I thought if I followed it perfectly, I’d be “free” in 6 months.
That didn’t happen.
🧠 What I Know Now
If I could go back, here’s what I’d tell myself:
- Simplify. Don’t try every method — pick one that fits your life.
- Focus. Don’t chase 5 goals. Just get one win.
- Start where you are. Not where you wish you were.
- Use what you have. Even if that’s just your phone and 15 minutes.
🔁 If I Had to Start Over From $0 Today
Here’s what I’d do:
- Write down the truth. (How much debt? What do I really need monthly?)
- Pick one free tool (like Canva or Ghost) and use it daily.
- Share the journey honestly. Not as an expert — as someone who’s rebuilding.
- Track progress weekly. Not just money, but momentum.
- Ignore the noise. Especially from people who aren’t doing it themselves.
❤️ Why It’s Not Too Late (For You Either)
It’s okay if you’ve tried and failed.
It’s okay if you started and stopped.
It’s okay if you’re back at zero.
What matters is:
You’re not giving up.
Neither am I.
